Throwback to my notes from this bottle years ago:

"Absolute classic. Glenfarclas uses bourbon and sherry casks but it’s those sherry casks that shine through here. Full and bold sherry nose with loads of fruit; apples and raisins and fresh cherries. Hints of honey on the nose carry over to the palate. Sorry to be overly specific here but I’m a beekeeper and love finding specific honey notes in whisky. This is a late season honey: dark, earthy, nutty, and spicy. There is also oak and vanilla, dried apricot, and cinnamon. Well balanced but not too complex. A beautiful orange rind and clove finish. A beautiful Speyside everyone must try."
