Age: 4 years
ABV: 54.5%
Nose: Rye bread with caraway and anise seeds, dried mint, stale brown sugar, ground cloves, toasted marshmallows topping on sweet potato casserole, dried orange rind, and lingering green new leaves.
Palate: Burned brown sugar on candied yams, clove bitters, polished oak, vanilla, and dill. Lingering brown sugar and bitter cloves on a bitter finish.
Overall: This is a solid, herbal rye with plenty of backbone to stand up to mixed drinks. I love this in a Sazerac. I picked this up at the distillery for $60 and it’s absolutely worth it at that price.
