Distillery: Abasolo
ABV: 43%
Casks: Used bourbon and new American oak.
Nose: Buttery corn, oily pupusas, summer hay, grassy and floral. Underneath, caramel apples and white peaches. Cracked pepper and white pine. Plenty of herbal notes, especially dried oregano. There is a little complexity to the herbal notes but it smells very young.
Palate: Caramel flavoring, vanilla extract, roasted peanuts, and dry grass. A hint of lime. Some oak sawdust and more youth. Burnt cornbread and peppers, both sweet and spicy.
